No interruptions. No learning curve. Just music.
FuruBass removes key switches, complex controls, and any setup that slows down your workflow.
Everything is designed so you can focus on writing music — not managing articulations.
Articulations such as ghost notes, string noise, and slide up/down are clearly mapped across the keyboard, making them easy to understand and intuitive to program.
To keep repeated notes sounding natural, FuruBass automatically alternates picking direction — even during fast passages or repeated hits.
Articulations are controlled primarily by velocity:
- Slide-up from one whole step below
- Slap pull
- Variable slide lengths (2–3 stages for slide up/down)
Pitch bend alone lets you perform choking bends and slide-down expressions naturally.
By default, FuruBass operates in Poly mode, allowing free chord playing.
Engaging the sustain pedal switches to Mono mode, where overlapping MIDI notes recreate realistic hammer-ons and pull-offs.
(For slap programs, Mono mode is enabled by default.)
Three Core Bass Tones
Three core tones for different production needs
FuruBass includes three carefully crafted bass tones, allowing you to choose the right sound for your track — without extra setup or guesswork.
BaMix(Line+Amp)
BaMix is a balanced blend of direct input and amplifier sound, delivering the most versatile and “finished” bass tone in the library.
This tone recreates a real-world recording setup and provides a solid low end with a clear, focused core — without requiring amp simulators or additional processing.
A light amount of compression is applied to the amp signal during recording, but after blending Line and Amp, no EQ or compression is added.
This gives you full freedom to apply your own EQ and compression depending on the song and musical context.
Line (DI)
The Line tone is recorded directly from the DI into the audio interface, capturing a clean, pure bass signal with full dynamic range.
Compared to the pre-shaped BaMix tone, Line is ideal for users who prefer to shape their own sound.
It works perfectly on its own, through amp simulators, or for re-amping workflows.
Amp
The Amp tone is recorded by miking a real bass cabinet, delivering a naturally fat and powerful sound straight out of the box.
You can also layer it with the Line tone to recreate a traditional recording and mixing workflow, blending DI and amp signals to taste.
Note: The Amp tone is not included in FuruBass-Fretless.

Articulation Labels
When a specific articulation is triggered — or when the sustain pedal switches between Poly and Mono modes — the UI clearly displays what is happening in real time.
These labels allow you to instantly understand:
- Which articulation is being played
- Whether the instrument is in Poly or Mono mode
You can even press keys freely on your MIDI keyboard to discover which articulations are assigned to which notes — without stopping your workflow or opening documentation.
Built-in Manual Tab
By opening the “Manual” tab at the bottom of the UI, you can quickly check FuruBass-specific behaviors such as velocity-based articulation triggers.
Because this information is always available inside the instrument, you don’t need an external key map or PDF manual.
